The Kiwanis Miracle League Field is born.

When Prospect Meadows was planning their sports complex on the north side of Marion our club committed to raising the money to build a Miracle League field to be included in the plan. The BBQ Rendezvous profits for 5 years were dedicated to paying for it.

When construction was started at the end of 2018 we were very excited to see the corn field converted into a slab of cement. in the spring of 2019.

April 1, 2019 we saw only the slab where our field would be.
By April 25th the ground was smoothed out and the path leading to the other fields was done.
May 3rd we were seeing rubber pellets mixed with glue and hand troweled into a smooth surface over the slab.
By the end of May we had the surface finished, fences up, and the dugouts finished.

The May 23rd, 2019 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on our field to show off to the community that this sports complex wasn’t your run of the mill baseball park. Miracles are going to happen here!

A GIANT THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Lowe yesterday for the Rendezvous. It was disappointing to have to cancel the last band. We were all looking forward to hearing them perform.
