Take Away Hunger

Kiwanis addresses hunger locally and around the world

Marion Metro Kiwanis joins with the surrounding Kiwanis clubs to buy and package meals for hungry families. We invite the Key Clubs from Kennedy, Linn-Mar, Prairie, and Xavier to help us assemble and box up meals. Half of the meals go to HACAP, a local food bank and the other half are given to Take Away Hunger to be sent around the world where needed.

A scoop of rice, a scoop of protein, a scoop of vitamins, and a scoop of flavor. Each bag provides a meal for a family of four.
Not bad for an hour’s work.
